Our Commitment to Confidentiality

At Inclusive Workforce Solutions, we recognize that confidentiality is essential to building trust and providing effective employment support services. We are committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all clients, participants, and stakeholders.

What Information is Confidential

Confidential information includes, but is not limited to:

  • Personal identification and contact information
  • ODSP status and disability-related information
  • Medical and health information
  • Employment history and references
  • Skills assessments and coaching plans
  • Progress reports and performance evaluations
  • Accommodation needs and workplace adjustments
  • Any other information shared during our services

How We Protect Confidentiality

We maintain confidentiality through:

  • Secure storage of physical and electronic records
  • Limited access to client information on a need-to-know basis
  • Staff training on confidentiality policies and procedures
  • Confidentiality agreements with all staff and contractors
  • Secure communication channels for sensitive information

When Information May Be Shared

We will only share your confidential information in the following circumstances:

  • With Your Consent: When you provide explicit written or verbal consent to share specific information

  • Program Administration: With Ontario Employment Service Providers and government agencies for program eligibility and reporting
  • Safety Concerns: When there is a risk of harm to yourself or others
  • Service Providers: With contracted service providers who assist in delivering our programs (under confidentiality agreements)

Your Rights Regarding Confidentiality

You have the right to:

  • Know what information we collect and how it will be used
  • Access your personal information and records
  • Request corrections to inaccurate information
  • Provide or withdraw consent for information sharing
  • Request restrictions on how your information is used
  • File a complaint if you believe confidentiality has been breached

Employer Relationships

When working with employers on your behalf, we will only share information that you have explicitly authorized us to disclose. We will discuss with you in advance what information will be shared and obtain your consent before any disclosure.

Limits to Confidentiality

While we strive to maintain complete confidentiality, there are legal and ethical limits, including:

  • Suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable person
  • Imminent risk of serious harm to yourself or others
  • Court orders or subpoenas
  • Regulatory audits and compliance reviews

We will inform you of these limits at the beginning of our services and will make every effort to discuss any necessary disclosures with you beforehand, when possible.
